Trimdon Colliery Workmens Club25th August 2008 Complete Saturday entertainment schedule for September and October 2008 here. Sunday night entertainment is cancelled until further notice.
Durham Race for Life Seven members of Trimdon Concert Brass took part in the Durham Race for Life on 6th July 2008 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Thank you to all who donated, from Lynsey, Lisa, Jenna, Laura, Sarah, Katie and Laura.
Trimdon Foundry Parish Council19th August 2008 Details of all the business discussed at the July 2008 meeting here, including Police report, planning applications and member reports. Minutes from previous meetings also available online.
Trimdon Grange WMC 14th August 2008 Snail Race Night on Aug 29th in aid of Breast Cancer - first race 7.45pm, disco and raffle, tickets on sale £2.50 Last year over £800 was raised for breast cancer at our Strawberry Fayre at Trimdon Grange Community Centre - see if we can top that this year!
Caravan Site Application An application has been received by Easington District Council regarding change of use from open land to caravan site in Trimdon Foundry, details here.
Dog Chipping/Neutering A campaign being launched by Pride in Easington is offering free microchipping for dogs, and vouchers towards neutering. Dates are Tuesday 26th August 10-3pm Paradise Crescent, Easington Colliery and Wednesday 27th August 10-3pm behind Woods Terrace, Murton
Trimdon Grange Community Centre 14th August 2008 Annual Show Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st September 2008. Exhibits benching Saturday 10am - 12 noon, judging 12 - 2pm. Presentation of Trophies by Catherine Worton, head teacher of the Infants school, with singing by Trimdon Grange School children Auction & Raffle 3pm followed by Family Fun/Entertainment 4-5pm. Come along and see what talent our local communities have - or have you got a hidden talent you would like to show off? Programmes available in local shops

Joint Trimdons’ Regeneration Partnership 17th July 2008 A regular meeting of the Joint Trimdons Regeneration Partnership was held on Tuesday 8th July at Trimdon Colliery Community Centre, full details here. Next meeting will be on Tuesday 2nd September 2008 at 6.30pm in Trimdon Colliery Community Centre
Banner March Wednesday July 9th Despite atrocious weather, Deaf Hill Banner Group paraded the new Lodge Banner and Community Banner round the the streets of Deaf Hill, Trimdon Station and Trimdon Colliery on Wednesday 9 July. £225 was collected towards funds to enable the banner to march in Durham. The Group would like to thank Trimdon Concert Brass, all who helped on the night and especially the people of Deaf Hill and Trimdon Station for their continuing support. St Paul’s Church 21st June 2008 Following the recent closure of the church, the Diocesan Board of Finance has applied for planning permission to convert the building into two dwelling houses. Full details can be found on EDC’s website here for anyone interested in commenting or objecting.,
