Photo shows an AEC Regal (HVO 823), and dates from 1947. It was one of 10 bought by TMS from East Midland Motor Services in 1959. The body is by Willowbrook and seated 35. This body was possibly fitted in 1952 to replace a second-hand Leyland body dating from the 1930s.
By the way, all those ex-East Midland Regals were withdrawn in 1964, so that gives an approximate date for the photos. |
